Match on action

Definition: Match on action is continuity editing in which one shot cuts to another and therefore portrays an action. And example of this is shown in my Preliminary task, the opening and walking through of a door. Other examples include:


This scene is from the Matrix and has some clear example of match on action/match cut action. One such example is when Trudy (The short haired lady) flips off the wall in order to dodge. It is a clear example and it follows the action through from start to finish using 3 different shots.
